8 Vehicles That No Longer Exist Because They Were Too Crazy

What ever happened to airships, hover scooters, dynaspheres and flying saucers?

Kurt Vonnegut once said, “We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.” Throughout history, mankind has been striving to find its wings.

Since the invention of the wheel, humans have been experimenting with different modes of transportation. Some of the ideas have been great, while others are… let’s just say unique!

From the flying platform, the Dynasphere to a real working jetpack. Yes, it’s true! Name it and you have it.

While you are probably familiar with some of these modes of transportation such as the Zeppelin, you might be surprised to hear that concepts such as flying saucers were actually put into development!

There are inventions we will probably never see during our lifetime. Long before Back to the Future at the beginning of the 20th century in fact, there were a lot weird-ass experimental vehicles that sadly no longer exist because of trifling matters such as the Earth’s gravity and the fact that the human body couldn’t really adapt to flying with this contraption.
