Mustang Hidalgo – an Automotive Chameleon

- in Cars

Imagine the Mustang with the magical paint. When it’s really hot, this Mustang shows its true colors!

Torsten Meyer from Emsland has fulfilled his dream with his Ford Mustang GT. For his latest project he called the graffiti artist René Turrek. The result is great.
The basis for the extravagant Tuning Project is a 2013 Ford Mustang GT with a five-liter V8 under the hood. The front axle has the dimension of 9.5 x 20 ET 35, and the rear axle is equipped with 10.5 x 20 ET 35.

René Turrek created a work of art, which among other things consists of a US flag on the front and a galloping Mustang on the right side of the car. This was applied by spray and brushes and overlayed with a paint with special effects.

The result can be seen when the temperature is between 80 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit (28-78 degrees Celsius), which can be caused by the body heat, the sunlight or the hot water. When the temperature is under this limit, the design remains invisible, and when it reaches the limit it can be seen again. It’s magic!

Besides this amazing thing, you cannot ignore the performance as well. The software has been optimized in addition to the adjustments of the automatic transmission including maps and switching times, resulting in about 444Hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque.
In addition to the sound that comes from the engine compartment, you will be surprised with the sound of the music as well. Besides the six-channel amplifier of Eton and 2-axial speakers by MB Quart, they also installed a mighty subwoofer to audio system.
Watch this video and see just how cool the work of René Turrek truly is.
