Stock Power Hellcat Challenger Goes 10.56 For New Quarter Mile Record

- in Cars

While some Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat owners have improved their quarter mile times by adding lots more power, a guy from Michigan has gotten his beast down into the 10.50 range without adding any sort of extra power.

This past weekend, a 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat with absolutely no power modifications ran a 10.56 quarter mile – setting the record for the quickest Dodge Hellcat car running on 100% stock power. To be clear, this is not a stock Hellcat record, but a stock power record.

The Hellcat Challenger shown in the video below has a 100% stock engine – no cold air intake, no exhaust system, no tune. This Challenger makes the same horsepower as it did when it came off of the showroom floor, so according to FCA, this supercharged Dodge is packing 707 horsepower and 650lb-ft of torque. It has a few other modifications that we will discuss below, but to my knowledge and the knowledge of the Hellcat owner community – no Hellcat Challenger or Hellcat Charger has made a quicker quarter mile pass on stock power.

This Hellcat Challenger is owned and driven by Simon Haddad of Clinton Township, Michigan, who has not made any changes to his Dodge muscle car which increases the power, so from air filter to exhaust tip – this Hemi is factory stock. Like all Hellcat owners who do lots of racing, he has added a stronger aftermarket driveshaft, a set of DOT approved drag radial tires and a set of 30.9 rear gears. Finally, Simon Haddad backed up his stock power record with a time of 10.56 at 130.99 miles per hour. On that run, he pulled a 60 foot time of just 1.543.
