Revelation Of Ultimate Luxury: Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Convertible

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Convertible is a glorious showcase of design but also technology.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Convertible was unveiled at this year’s gathering of the most magnificent classic cars at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.  This car with its sensual, emotionally appealing design and innovative technical concept solutions, defines the ultimate in luxury of the future.

The curved basic body of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cconvertible boasts a sporty, stretched design which is characterised by powerful structural elements in conjunction with the sharp feature line.

It measures nearly 18.7 feet long and 6.9 feet wide, yet offers just two seats. The wheels stand 24 inches tall. Although the 6 Cabriolet runs on battery power and therefore lacks an engine, the hood makes up about half the car’s length.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet is designed as an electric car. Thanks to its four compact permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, it features all-wheel drive. The flat battery sits in the underbody. The drive system has an output of 550 kW (750 PS). This not only allows performance characteristics typical of a sports car (acceleration from 0-60 mph in under four seconds, top speed electronically governed at 155 mph) but also a range of over 310 miles according to the NEDC.  The quick-charge function is also visionary: as a result of DC charging based on the CCS standard, the system allows a charging capacity of up to 350 kW. In just five minutes enough power can be charged to achieve an additional range of around 60 miles.

Naturally, the interior offers a melee of leather, chrome, open-pore wood, and aluminum. Mercedes’s Rumpelstiltskin department even weaved rose gold into the fabric top.

When you aren’t gazing out over roughly four acres of hood from the driver’s seat, you can monitor the car’s vital functions with a glance of what Mercedes calls “hyperanalogue” instruments – digital displays with real needles sweeping over them.
