Fire-Breathing, 700hp+ 1969 Camaro “Lou’s Change”

This Restomod 1969 Camaro called “Lou’s Change” was built by V8 Speed & Resto Shop in Red Bud, Illinois.

Started with a solid 1969 Chevrolet Camaro 383 4-speed car team have built a top notch pro touring beast which is good for both show & go. Because they wanted a completely restored with the absolutely flawless body work, they have built this Camaro from the ground up.


They have spent hundreds of hours in preparing, painting and polishing, but the end result is this absolutely gorgeous LSA Camaro. The F-body is customized with a very interesting approach nicely mixing old school with modern styling while the driveline is fully upgraded with Detroit Speed components allowing the Lou’s Change 1969 Camaro to handle the road like a brand new muscle car.

The interior is completely customized, inside are installed Recaro sport bucket seats, secured with 5-point Simpson seat belts. The dashboard has been upgraded with Dakota Digital VHX Gauges, Vintage Air A/C unit, fat sport MOMO steering wheel and a Custom Autosound stereo add modern comforts.


When it comes to power this pro touring Chevy Camaro counts on a supercharged 6.2 L LSA V8 engine producing over 700 horsepower thanks to the factory supercharger, some head work and an upgraded camshaft. Behind the engine sits a Tremec T-56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter on top and Currie Currie 9+ rear axle.

For suspension upgrades the team turned to Detroit Speed for one of their first generation Camaro hydroformed subframe and IFS. They also used their QUADRALink 4-link suspension out back. Great traction is achieved with a set of Forgeline’s and TOYO Proxes R888 tires. Wilwood braking system which includes master cylinder, six-piston calipers up front and four-piston at back with slotted rotors on all wheels make this custom built 1969 Camaro stops within few seconds.
